Pavurnami which falls in the month of Chittirai is called Chitra Pavurnami. This year Chitra Pavurnami is coming 16.4.2022 (Saturday). The moon rises at 6 pm on that day when the sun sets over the Kanyakumari sea. These two scenes occur simultaneously. This event will be a sight to behold.

சித்திரை மாதம் வரும் பவுர்ணமியை சித்ரா பவுர்ணமி என்று அழைக்கப்படுகிறது. இந்த ஆண்டு சித்ரா பவுர்ணமி 16.4.2022 (சனிக்கிழமை) வருகிறது. அன்று மாலை 6 மணிக்கு கன்னியாகுமரி கடலில் சூரியன் மறையும் போது சந்திரன் உதயமாகிறது. இந்த இரண்டு காட்சிகளும் ஒரே நேரத்தில் நிகழ்கின்றன. இந்த நிகழ்வு பார்ப்பதற்குக் கண்கொள்ளாக் காட்சியாக இருக்கும்.
இந்த அரிய காட்சியை காண கன்னியாகுமரிக்கு சுற்றுலா பயணிகள் குவிவார்கள் என எதிர்பார்க்கப்படுகிறது. மேற்குப் பகுதியில் அரபிக்கடலில் சூரியன் மறையும், கிழக்குப் பகுதியில் வங்கக் கடலில் சந்திரன் உதயமாகும். கன்னியாகுமரி முக்கடல் சங்கம் மற்றும் சன்செட் பாயிண்ட் உள்ளிட்ட இடங்களில் நின்றும் இந்த அரிய காட்சியை கண்டு ரசிக்கலாம்.
