பழைய கோவில் கட்டுமான தொழில்நுட்பம்

தேவையான பொருட்கள்

சுண்ணாம்பு, கடுக்காய், வெல்லம், (முட்டைக்கு மாற்றாக) –  கற்றாழை மற்றும் ஆற்று மணல் இதனை பயன்படுத்தியே கட்டுமானத்தை எழுப்பினர். 

கட்டுமான பொருட்கள் செய்முறை விளக்கம்

கடுக்காயையும், வெல்லத்தையும் ஒன்றாக உர வைத்து 21 -24 நாட்களுக்கு (சராசரியாக 3 வாரங்கள்) பிறகு அந்த ஊறலின் நீரை எடுத்து மணலும், சுண்ணாம்பும் கலந்த கலவையில் மீண்டும் ஊறவைக்கப்படுகின்றன. இதில் 4 நாட்களுக்கு  ஒரு முறை கலந்து விடப்படுகிறது. பின்பு இந்த கலவையினை இயந்திர ஆட்டு கல்லின் மூலமாக இந்த கலவையும் மற்றும் கற்றாழை அல்லது முட்டை ஒன்றாக கலந்து அரைக்கப்படுகின்றன. இந்த அரைக்கப்படுகின்ற கலவையை மட்டுமே கட்டுமானத்தின் பசைக்காகவும், சுதை வேலைக்காகவும் பயன்படுத்துகின்றன. 

இதில் நாம் சிமெண்ட் கட்டுமானத்தில் பயன்படுத்தும் தொழில்நுட்பமான பதப்படுத்தும் முறை(க்யூரிங்) இங்கு சற்று வித்தியாசமாக வெறும் தண்ணீரை ஊற்றாமல் கடுக்காயும், வெல்லத்தையும் ஊறவைத்த தண்ணீரை பயன்படுத்தியே பதப்படுத்தும் (க்யூரிங்) முறையை கையாளுகின்றன. 

இந்த கட்டுமான முறையின் ஆயுட்காலம் சுமார் 700 லிருந்து 1000 ஆண்டுகள் தாங்கும் என நம்பப்படுகிறது. அதற்கு பல கோவில்கள் இன்னும் நம் காலங்களில் இருப்பதே சான்றாகும்.

Required Things

Lime, kadukkai (Myrobalan), jaggery, (as a substitute for egg) – aloe vera and river sand were used to build the construction.

Description of Construction Materials Recipe

kadukkai (Myrobalan) and jaggery are fertilized together and after 21-24 days (average 3 weeks) the water is taken and re-soaked in a mixture of sand and lime. It is mixed once every 4 days. Then this mixture is ground through a mechanical goat stone along with aloe vera or egg. Only this ground mixture is used for construction glue and mortar work.

In this, the technology used in cement construction (curing) is slightly different, here instead of just pouring water, they handle the curing method using water soaked in kadukkai (Myrobalan) seeds and jaggery.

This construction method is believed to have a lifespan of around 700 to 1000 years. The fact that many temples still exist in our times is proof of that.
