The Chennai Corporation has announced that the public will be able to use the Wi-Fi connection for free for 30 minutes in the area where the smart poles are installed on behalf of the Corporation under the Sirmigu City project. A statement issued in this regard said that 49 smart poles have been installed at various places in the city of Chennai as a highlight of the Integrated Command and Control Center set up at the Chennai Ribbon Building premises. It has been reported that the public can use the Wi-Fi connection on these smart poles for free for 30 minutes and the public can register their mobile phone with me to get free Wi-Fi on their mobile and avail the service through OTP.
