From 2010 to 2019, 10 scholars for 10 years were selected by the award selection committee and the awards were presented today.

Former Chief Minister Karunanidhi has set up an ‘Artist M. Karunanidhi Classical Tamil Studies Trust’ at the Central Institute of Classical Tamil Studies at a cost of Rs 1 crore from his own funds. The “Artist M. Karunanidhi Classical Tamil Award” is given to scholars who have made outstanding contributions in archeology, sculpture, numismatics, literature, linguistics, creative literature, literary criticism, translation, and fine arts.

In this context, 10 scholars were selected by the award selection committee and Chief Minister MK Stalin today presented them with the “Artist M. Karunanidhi” Classical Tamil Awards.

The awards ceremony was held at the Anna Centenary Library in Kotturpuram, Chennai. Professors Gothandraman, Sundaramoorthy, Marudhanayagam, Mohanarasu, Maraimalai Ilakkuvanar, Rajan, and Ulrik Niklas were given the award. The awardees were presented with a cash prize of Rs 10 lakh and a certificate of appreciation.

கருணாநிதி பெயரில் செம்மொழி தமிழ் விருதுகள் – முதல்வர் ஸ்டாலின்

2010 ஆண்டு முதல் 2019-ம் ஆண்டு வரை, 10 ஆண்டுகளுக்கான 10 அறிஞர்களை  விருது தேர்வுக் குழுவினரால் தேர்வு செய்து இன்று விருதுகள் வழங்கப்பட்டது.

சென்னை:

முன்னாள் முதல்வர் கருணாநிதி, மத்திய செம்மொழித் தமிழாய்வு நிறுவனத்தில் தனது சொந்த நிதியில் ரூ.1 கோடியில் ‘கலைஞர் மு. கருணாநிதி செம்மொழித் தமிழாய்வு அறக்கட்டளை’ஒன்றை நிறுவினார். அதன்மூலம், தொல்லியல், கல்வெட்டியியல், நாணயவியல், இலக்கியம், மொழியியல், படைப்பு இலக்கியம், இலக்கியத் திறனாய்வு, மொழிபெயர்ப்பு, நுண்கலைகள் போன்றவற்றில் சிறந்த பங்களிப்பை வழங்கிய அறிஞர்களுக்கு “கலைஞர் மு.கருணாநிதி செம்மொழி தமிழ் விருது” வழங்கப்படுகிறது.

இந்நிலையில், 10 அறிஞர்களை  விருது தேர்வுக் குழுவினரால் தேர்வு செய்யப்பட்டு, அவர்களுக்கு “கலைஞர் மு.கருணாநிதி” செம்மொழி தமிழ் விருதுகளை முதல்வர் மு.க.ஸ்டாலின் இன்று வழங்கினார். 

சென்னை கோட்டூர்புரத்தில் உள்ள அண்ணா நூற்றாண்டு நூலக வளாகத்தில் விருதாளர்களுக்கு விருது வழங்கும் நிகழ்ச்சி நடைபெற்றது. இதில் பேராசிரியர்கள் கோதண்டராமன், சுந்தரமூர்த்தி, மருதநாயகம், மோகனராசு, மறைமலை இலக்குவனார், ராஜன், உல்ரிக் நிக்லாஸ் உள்ளிட்டோர்களுக்கு  விருது வழங்கப்பட்டது.  விருதாளர்களுக்கு ரூ.10 லட்சம் பரிசுத்தொகையோடு, பாராட்டு சான்றிதழ் வழங்கப்பட்டது.
